Remembrances
The Association has been informed of the following deaths:
Mr Kenneth D Brown, a Refounder, died on the 26th of September 2008. His widow, Mrs. Brown, writes:
“Kenneth came to Durham after demobilisation in 1948 and studied Classics, an experience which he always regarded with huge delight and affection”.
Mr Gales, another Refounder, died in 2008. A mature student, he studied at the university in the post-war years and obtained a degree in Geology. He was 87, lived in Brant Broughton, near Lincoln and is survived by his widow.
