Durham 175 celebrations
Feasting on nostalgia for Durham’s 175th
St Cuthbert’s Society played host to its alumni over the weekend of 7 to the 9 September 2007 as part of the University’s 175 celebrations.
The weekend started with a drinks reception and dinner, which incorpored the Annual Refounders Dinner. The Society arranged a Prince Bishop’s Cruise on the River Wear with a noted authority on the history of Durham, Roger Norris, providing commentary as the boat cruised past various landmarks.
On the Saturday evening, the University hosted the black tie Grand Celebration Dinner where old Cuthbertsmen dined together and shared memories of our cherished institution.
